Single Hung Windows

Single-hung windows consist of two window sash, where only the lower sash is operable (slides up and down).

Impervious to rot and insects, the ENVIROGUARD™ block and tackle single-hung window series is not only pleasing to the eye but also durable. Constructed with the highest quality cellular PVC, these windows have all the natural characteristics of wood, including great appearance–without the shortcomings of wood. They won’t rot, peel, splinter, decay, absorb moisture–and they have enhanced screw-holding power.

Unlike vinyl windows, our cellular PVC single hung windows can be painted, look like real wood, and offer more glass space.

Single Hung Window Options

ENVIROGUARD single hung windows have many choices for each of the following options:

Casings

With over 50 case moulding styles to choose from, there is an ENVIROGUARD brick mould and interior casing to match almost any architectural style.

Grilles/Grides

Our custom millwork heritage enables us to create beautiful windows with either true divided light (TDL) or simulated divided light (SDL). For SDL windows, grilles can either be placed on top of the glass or between the glass.

Grille options also include choice of style and color.

Glass

We offer many choices in glass styles and coatings. Argon gas can also be applied between the glass panes to create even greater energy efficiency.

Hardware

Window latches are offered in either white or bronze.

Screens

Screens are available for all standard sizes and can be made for custom sizes.

*We recommend that ENVIROGUARD products be painted with only standard oil-base or latex paints, using industry standard techniques after cleaning. Dark colors (any color that falls within the L value of 56 to 0) should not be used on any ENVIROGUARD product.
