ENVIROGUARD™ comes with a primer coat that carries a 10 year warranty. Enviroguard should be painted with standard oil base or latex paint using industry standard painting techniques after cleaning.

ENVIROGUARD should not be painted with dark colors (any color that falls within the L value of 56 to 0) L is a measure of the lightness of an object, and ranges from 0 (black) to 100 (white). Sherwin Williams Vinyl Safe Paint or Valspar Ultimate Premium Paint are recommended.

Beginning April 22, 2010, contractors performing renovation, repair and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in homes, child care facilities, and schools built before 1978 must be certified and must follow specific work practices to prevent lead contamination. EPA requires that firms performing renovation, repair, and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in pre-1978 homes, child care facilities and schools be certified by EPA and that they use certified renovators who are trained by EPA-approved training providers to follow lead-safe work practices. ENVIROGUARD double hung windows have many choices for each of the following options:

Casings

With over 50 case moulding styles to choose from, there is an ENVIROGUARD brick mould and interior casing to match almost any architectural style.

Grilles/Grides

Our custom millwork heritage enables us to create beautiful windows with either true divided light (TDL) or simulated divided light (SDL). For SDL windows, grilles can either be placed on top of the glass or between the glass.

Grille options also include choice of style and color.

Glass

We offer many choices in glass styles and coatings. Argon gas can also be applied between the glass panes to create even greater energy efficiency.

Hardware

Window latches are offered in either white or bronze.

Screens

Screens are available for all standard sizes and can be made for custom sizes.
